Absolutely! If you earned the Course Certificate for 14.009x Good Economics for Hard Times prior to the launch of the new DEDP MicroMasters Program Track options in the Fall 2023 term, you are eligible to count your completion of 14.009x towards completion of the International Development Track Program Credential. This opportunity extends into the indefinite future, allowing you to leverage your previous completion of the course to enhance your credentials in the International Development Track.
Important Note: To fulfill the completion requirements for the International Development track using 14.009x, your second Elective course must be an "Advanced" elective course, either 14.740x Foundations of Global Development Policy or 14.750x Political Economy and Economic Development.
You cannot complete the International Development track by completing only 14.009x Good Economics for Hard Times and 14.73x The Challenges of Global Poverty.
For more information about the requirements to complete the DEDP MicroMasters Program on either Track, please see this FAQ article.
