The DEDP MicroMasters courses cover many topics in economics, development, political science, public policy, public health, statistics, and related disciplines. Anyone can enroll in the courses, but it is recommended that you have some prior mathematics knowledge to succeed in the courses, particularly with algebra and calculus. Several courses also require the use of the R programming language for data analysis, and introductory modules are provided in the course to help you get started. You can refer to the course pages on MITx Online for more information about which concepts are covered in each course. The DEDP MicroMasters site’s Learner Resources page also offers a range of course-specific preparation materials.
Some of the courses are also available on MIT Open Courseware, which provides archived MIT residential courses in a learner-driven format, or the MIT Open Learning Library, which hosts archived MIT residential courses in a more interactive format.
