Starting your course on MITx Online after enrolling is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to access the Courseware for the course session you've enrolled in:
- Sign in: Navigate to the MITx Online website and Sign In using your registered email address and password.
- Access your MITx Online Dashboard: Select the “Dashboard” option from the user drop-down menu in the upper right corner of the page or click this link to access your MITx Online Dashboard. Your Dashboard shows a list of all the course sessions you're enrolled in.
- Find Your Course: Find the correct session of your course. If you're enrolled in more than one session of the same course, double-check the dates under the Course Title.
- Access the Courseware: Once you've found the correct course session, click the red "Go to Course" button on the right, across from the Course Title to access the Courseware and get started! (see below for a screenshot example)
- Begin the Course: Inside the Courseware, you'll see an overview of the course session's material, including the syllabus, a list of the course modules, and any required readings or materials. To begin the course, click on the first module.
Once you start your course:
- Pay Attention to the Introduction: In most courses, the first few Courseware Modules serve as an introduction, communicating important information about course format, schedule, deadlines, and more!
- Progress Through the Course: From the course page, you can access the course content, such as lectures, readings, and assignments. You can also track your progress through the course under the Progress tab.
-
Complete the Course: The Courseware will track your progress as you complete each module and its associated Coursework and Assignments. If you're enrolled on the Verified/Certificate (Paid) track, then you will be eligible to earn the Course Certificate once you successfully complete the course with a passing score.
- Course Certificates become available at different times, depending on course structure. For more information about the Availability Timeline and how to access your Certificates, see this FAQ article!
