If you have paid for a certificate—by upgrading to the Verified/Certificate (Paid) enrollment track—but find that you are unable to complete the course, you may have a few options.
If you are still within the refund window—14 days after the Start Date of the course session, or 14 days after the date of purchase (whichever is later)—you may request a refund of your payment. To request a refund, follow the instructions in the FAQ article What is the MITx Online Refund Policy?
If you are outside the 14-day refund window, however, you must generally finish the course session. However, depending on your circumstances, options may still be available. Please reach out to MITx Online Customer Support as soon as possible for assistance. Be sure to provide your name, the email address associated with your MITx Online account, and as many details about your situation as possible. This will help us evaluate and provide options as quickly as possible.
