Course Certificate Requirements
To earn the MicroMasters Course Certificate for a DEDP MicroMasters course, a learner must do all of the following:
- Enroll in a session of the course on the MITx Online Platform
- Submit payment for the course session before its Payment Deadline
- Complete Coursework Assignments and the Comprehensive Review to earn your Coursework Score
- Sit for the Proctored Final Exam at the end of the course session
- Earn a passing Total Course Grade—a weighted combination of your Coursework and Proctored Exam scores
However, it's important to note that the DEDP MicroMasters program allows learners to take courses more than once and combine their best Coursework Score and Proctored Exam Score—to achieve their highest possible Total Course Score. Learners re-taking a course may choose to have either their Coursework Score or Proctored Exam Score transferred from a previous session of that course. Learners must explicitly request Course Score Transfers.

Course Score Weights
The Coursework Score comprises the scores earned for all Coursework, including Homework Assignments, Lecture Finger Exercises, any Mid-Term Exams, and the Comprehensive Review. The Proctored Exam Score comprises solely the score earned on the Proctored Final Exam.
The Total Course Grade is a weighted average of both the Coursework Score and the Proctored Exam Score.
-
The Coursework Score is worth 30% of the Total Course Grade
-
The Proctored Exam Score is worth 70% of the Total Course Score
The passing score for DEDP courses is a Total Course Grade of 50% or better.
Each DEDP MicroMasters course may contain a different number of Coursework Assignments, and may assign different weights to the individual types of Assignment, but the overall Coursework Score is worth 30% of the Total Course Grade for all courses. Learners should be familiar with the Homework and Grading Policy found within their course's Courseware.
